    Web Application Developer - PHP/ MySQL/LAMP for multiple projects

    Senior Java Developer

    Senior Java Developer with back-end and user interface development experience. The successful candidate would be able to take completed html mocks and integrate them to the existing backend as well as perform enhancements in the current code. Position is based in New York.

    The main responsibilities are:
    1. Reworking the back-end to satisfy redesign requirements
    2. Work with project leaders to implement new CMS features
    3. Integrate graphics, html mocks and AJAX functionality
    4. Meet regularly in our office in Midtown Manhattan.

    Skills required:
    1. Java version 1.4
    2. Red Hat Linux, shell commands
    3. Apache Tomcat 4.x (deployment, authentication)
    4. Ant
    5. Html, Jsp, Servlets, Javascript
    6. Sql, Jdbc, Postgresql
    7. Pdf generation with iText
    8. Java AJAX Development (using the Google Web Toolkit)
    9. Use of CVS as the source control system

    Nice to skills to have, but not required:
    1. Web Framework such as Struts, Tapestry, JSF
    2. Spring,
    3. Hibernate or other ORM tool,
    4. Automated testing

    The developer should have at least 3 years experience in Java. The developer should be available immediately to work in New York and be able to devote a significant amount of time for the quick completion of the project.
